We have just delivered to a remote (Lake Tahoe!) luxury home project, a special grade with custom size and design bangkirai decking. With massive size of 36.5mm x 140mm x 4900mm each decking board had one side weather grooves bottom and smooth side top. Commonly for thick decking such as this one, we would put 3mm grooving on the other side, so designers or homeowners have options to use either large or small grooving for the surface. For this special property, which cold weather is dominating, groovings may trap snow therefore more difficult to clean up and causing it more slippery. We kept the top side smooth, which also to expose more of bangkirai grain and color beauty.

The 4 cubic meters of bangkirai deckings covered area of approximately 110 square meter. This will be place on several patios and balconies around the house.
